Project Description Redesign existing OLTP database model for efficiency, extensibility andscalability, on Microsoft SQL Server, using Open Source product, NaviCat.Job Description The Data Modeler will take direction from the Enterprise Data WarehouseArchitect (EDW Architect). Working with the EDW Architect, the data modelerwill design and deliver the logical and physical data models for a highefficiency OLTP database. This database will be designed in stages,development based upon functional subject areas. Development environmentwill be Microsoft. The Data Modeler will develop a data model to satisfy client's businessneeds and resolve potential conflicting data user demands. This role willrequire strong communication and analytical skills. The Data Modeler willwork within a fast moving team, providing subject matter expertise,communicating technical concepts to both technical and nontechnicalaudiences. Skills and Experience Needed 610 years handson data modeling experience with solid understanding of relational design theory and rules Knowledgeable in industry data modeling standards and best practices for OLTP design Experienced in business process analysis to extract data requirements Experienced in data analysis and data profiling Great communication skills (verbal and written) Able to deliver in a fast paced working environment
