Description
Installing requisite OS and coordinating layered products (Oracle, TSM) on servers. Coordinating server maintenance through a well defined change control process including after hours and weekend (Sunday) work as necessary to support systems. Assist AIX admins when system admin help is needed (i.e., creating UNIX accounts, writing scripts to perform sys admin functions, etc). System modifications, if not done through IQOQs. Participate in weekly oncall rotation for after hours support.Skills and Experience levelsInstallation, administration, support and monitoring for HPUX 11.x Ignite UX system recovery experience HP Disk Array Enclosures Skilled in the installation, maintenance, and configuration of AIX V5 AIX V5 performance and tuning preferred. AIX V5 network configuration and maintenance preferred. Experience in Sysback V5 desired. Scripting experience in Korn shell or Perl desired. IBM / Tivoli TSM backup and restore desired. Good documentation
