1. Operating system and application installation.2. Hardware installation.3. Patch management.4. Manage security of servers.5. Monitor servers and applications for errors and performance problems.6. 4th tier application support.7. Tune application, operating system and hardware for optimal performance.8. Develop scripts for automating routine tasks.9. Capacity planning and hardware sizing.10. Planning and implementing disaster recovery and high availability for critical systems.11. Troubleshooting of application, operating system and hardware problems.12. Assist in the development and implementation of server standards for all new servers.13. Assist in the documentation of current and future systems.14. Ability to communicate effectively with business counterparts.
