Description
This is a PRODUCTION/DATABASE DBA (NOT a application DBA)!!! Candidates MUST have 7+yrs experience in Oracle and 4+yrs experience in Sybase. Experience doing a migration from Sybase to Oracle is a BIG PLUS but not required. Candidates should have experience with performance tuning on the application level, as well as UNIX shell scripting experience. This is a 24x7 Production Support Environment. MustHave Skills Very good indepth knowledge of Oracle and Sybase architecture and internals. Strong database performance tuning skills. Strong database troubleshooting and problem resolution skills. Strong Oracle10g & Sybase 125 DBA skills include but not limited to (Capacity Planning, Database Backups and Recovery, Performance and Tuning, Maintenance, Monitoring, Database Objects Builds, Data Loads, Database Security, Materialized Views (oracle) and ongoing administration). Very good knowledge of UNIX shell scripting. Must possess strong SQL and PL/SQL
