Description
Leading a team of SAN experts as part of the migration team involved in the inventory, design, procurement, implementation and physical relocation of all Enterprise SAN related equipment located in the OIR Data Center. This includes working with the States staff to develop migration and transition plans as needed. Function as the OIR SAN representative and point of contact to coordinate with IT Management team on issues and provide project status. Responsible for communication of detail move plan per server, risk mitigations, cost estimates, and lessons learned. Assist the contracted vendors to develop project plans, goals and budgets; identify resources needed,develop schedules and methods for measuring results. Responsible for all SAN hardware, software and fiber channel infrastructure related to the server migration effort. This includes switches, routers, fiber patch panels and associated transportation medium.
