Description
The ideal candidate will need to communicate effectively as they will be responsible for gatheringrequirements, consulting with developers of APIs and databases with which they interact. The candidatewill need to be sufficiently familiar with VB to read the old code. They will be responsible for designingand building the replacement(s) in Java SE. Unit tests, debugging, and documenting the processes along with the user guide will be expected of the candidate. The working environment is more agile and iterative thanwaterfall. The candidate will have a wealth of other developers to work with and get support from. Capable of performing effectively in a team, or alone and unsupervised. Proactively seeks innovative solutions to problems and needs to be able to demonstrate ability to thinkthrough problems to come up with effective solutions. Communicates effectively with team members and management.
