Description
This individual will be working with PSERS staff and Unisys staff on the installation and configuration of Windows 2003 OS on servers located at PSERS and the Data Power House. Their expertise will be required for identifying and investigating differences between W2K and W2K3 for the upgrade to new hardware and OS. They will investigate and propose server resolutions for applications (scripts, SQL, etc) installed on the servers mentioned. They will assist PSERS technical staff in any desktop (W2K & XP) issues that may arise during the migration to new servers. Also, this individual will be working with security teams to resolve any issues with the installation of these servers.They will be working at the direction of PSERS staff to ensure the completion of the migration to new servers, which will include working with all aspects needed to accomplish this task. This will include, but not limited to operating systems, networking, application and security.
