Description
A minimum of one to three years experience with web environment support and development using CGI in Perl. Must possess and understanding of TCP/IP, HTML, CGI Applications and middletier based services, with some experience designing, developing and supporting applications in such an environment. Is comfortable working with the webhosting environment (Linux); using UNIX commands to list, view, compress and edit files. Uses version control and knows how to checkout, update, commit, and tag. Uses SQL to automate transactions (inserts, updates, deletes) and write and optimize queries for various Web applications.Has knowledge of Apache (how it works, configuration), mod_perl, HTTP, FTP, JavaScript, headers, cookies, and plugins. Understands the advantages of object oriented development, and uses it as necessary.Writes maintainable, optimized Perl that access files, uses Oracle, and creates HTML.
