Description
The HAVA Interface is being rebuilt to enable it to process transactions in a highly contested federal election such as the Presidential election. This year the process will be created so that it will be opperational for the 2018 Presidential Election. The process utilizes BizTalk as the general engine for sending records to PennDOT for processing either by PennDOT itself or through AAMVA. The current process is being rebuilt by Microsoft through the Master Agreement that OA has with Microsoft. This agreement only allows Microsoft to work on their own tools.PennDOT requires the interface to use MQ Series to get to them. We have MQ Series running as our front door to PennDOT. Microsoft can not work with this, and this software will be the last single point of failuer once the new applciation is deveoped.Since the DOS does not have any other need for MQ Series we do not have any employees that understand MQ Series.
