Dayto day operations of a fastpaced database environment (Oracle 11i (ERP) and 10g) OLTP and Data Warehouse systems Work on a variety of development and maintenance projects along with other groups of the company. Work closely with developers and business users on the requirements, systems analysis, design, and implementation of new systems in all environments Work with other members of the team on RDBMS best practices, guiding their interaction with the RDBMS environment and related applications Involved in database design and data modeling effort, doing logical design and physical design, maintenance of data model for various applications, making recommendations and providing guidance to other teams in the data modeling effort Doing database installation, upgrades, patches, cloning (for ERP system) and troubleshooting Database backup and recovery (RMAN based), also involved in the disaster recovery strategy and testing
