Description
Perform DB2/UDB Database administration as a member of a team of DBAs per the general responsibilies outlined below. Planning, installation and configuration of DB2 database and related software. Planning, installation and configuration of DB2 patch fixes and upgrades. Perform database requirements analysis. Configuration, creation and maintenance of DB2 databases and instances Assistance with Schema Management. Assistance with Security Management. Implementation of Backup and Recovery Strategies. Assistance with Data Loading. Configuration of clientserver software. Monitoring and management of database server, memory , and space resources. Performance tuning at server and application levels. Troubleshoot production issues as they occur. Tracking of tasks/time for internal client billing and reporting purposes. Oncall production support at least 2 weeks per month.
