Description
Responsibilities Performing database backups, restores, reorganizations etc. Performing database performance and query tuning. Proactively monitoring and maintaining production databases. Perform logical database design and physical database implementations. Work with development teams on all aspects of database design including tables, views, stored procedures and permissions. Implementing database migration from one server to another and synchronizing the testing/staging and production environments. Performing query performance tuning of SQL and stored procedures.5+ years of strong experience as a DB2 zOS DBA. Strong experience with logical and physical database Design. Experience performance tuning queries and table / indexes. Working knowledge of database backup, recovery, DR. Solid experience in application development and 24 X 7 production database support. Thorough knowledge of data backup, recovery, and rollback
