ER Data modeling and concepts Best practices for common ETL design techniques such as change data capture, key generation and optimization Fluency in SQL Capable of capturing and modeling complex business cases in terms of tables and relationships Capable of converting a relational data model to a dimensional one Knowledge of star and snowflake schemas Capable of designing for flexibility and performance Extract, Transform and Load Coding (ETL) Experience with data quality, data profiling, metadata management and reporting Understand database concepts of referential integrity, indexes and keys and table metadata Ability to query source and target databases for unit testing
