Description
1. Daily primary database administration support for Oracle databases; 2. Perform database tuning of migrated applications in Oracle 10g; 3. New hardware migration; 4. IDPH Oracle software upgrade from 9i to 10g; 5. EPA Oracle software upgrade from version 7, 8, and 9i to 10g.6. Implementation of an IDPH and EPA redundant servers to provide 24x7 rollover databases to ensure users routine access in the event of a problem with the main servers and to run user ad hoc queries and reports; 7. Establishing and documenting an application code control system for all Oracle applications;8. Establishing and documenting Oracle standards; 9. Standardizing Oracle implementation across platforms;10. Documentation of database administration (DBA) duties/functions specific to Oracle systems.11. Knowledge transfer, mentoring and training of State of Illinois staff.
