Description
Assist with daytoday management of the LAN/WAN networks according to industry best practices and standards. Provide liaison support to the DataCom Manager and staff with WAN carrier, service providers, and CalPERS internal organizations. Monitor LAN/WAN traffic, utilizing existing monitoring tools. Maintain functionality of these tools. Analyze and report abnormal findings immediately to DataCom manager and staff with recommendations. Identify and assist with ongoing training (knowledge transfer) required for DataCom staff in regards to LAN/ WAN network optimization. Make recommendations as needed. Develop and maintain necessary documentation, including procedures. Provide technical proposal reviews and document comments as required Provide technical support and guidance to DataCom Manager, DataCom staff, and act as technical specialist to DataCom customers.
