Description
Install and configure Sybase ASE server, Sybase Replication server and MS SQL server. Perform upgrades and apply patches. Perform backup and restore of databases in various environments like Production, Test, QA, and Development. Recover database/server from disaster. Monitor database disk space usage, server error log on a daily basis. Troubleshoot and tune ASE server and Rep server for performance. Monitor and troubleshoot user processes for blocks, locks and deadlocks. Make recommendations to tune queries that perform slow. Must be able to create/modify Unix shell scripts. Work with developers to simplify complex and problematic SQL code/queries. Must have experience with latest version of ASE and Replication server.
