Description
Data Architects at the client are responsible for discussing business level data requirements with project teams, development of the logical data model, development of the physical data model, generation of the DDL for the Database Administrator. Also followup with the DBA to ensure that what was implemented accurately reflects the model. It is preferred that all of our data architects are filled from the same vendor and they assist in determining how to best staff for sometimes unplanned project demands. Skill Set Needed A detailed list of skills required for a data architect follows. Key skills include retail knowledge, several years of data modeling experience and excellent communication skills. Tools / Software . ER/Studio . ER/Studio Repository . Z/OS TSO . Toad or equivalent . Lotus Notes . Visio . Office Suite Analysis . Major retail knowledge . Business Analysis .
