Description
Experience in optimizing report and cube performance is required. Experience in Cognos 8 development (Query Studio, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, etc.) and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 is essential. Training and knowledge in the Cognos Software Development Kit (SDK) is highly desirable. Experience in report security administration and data security would be helpful. Skill in writing moderate to complex Structured Query Language (SQL) queries and stored procedures is necessary.Ability to understand and interpret business requirements and to translate into concise rules for developing reports. The ability to work with end users of various levels of technical sophistication, to communicate in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner, and to create effective end user documentation is necessary. Knowledge of and experience working with education data is desirable. Experienced in interacting with customers regarding application requirements.
