Description
Supporting the live application in the production environmentCommunicate with the development team to understand upcoming structure requirements.Use EXPLAIN and other tools to tune physical structures to optimize performance.Implement tracing where necessary to trap and understand SQL being submitted by ETL and BI tools. Work with production support personnel to migrate the release to production.Use database tools to track database utilization statistics on an ongoing basis.Perform capacity planning for current and future applications. Perform physical database tuning via plan analysis, index adjustments, table partitioning and other means.
