Description
Participate in 7x24 oncall rotation Improving the quality of the operational environment by monitoring, reducing or eliminating unplanned outages, defects, and problems, and by increasing reliability, and availability Proven ability tcreate, administer, migrate and effectively performance tune high availability DB2 databases Aptitude towards proactive systems monitoring Experience Writing and Tuning simple and complex SQL statements Experience with logical tphysical data model conversion Must possess working knowledge and handson experience in following Data movement in DB2 (load, import, move) Database recovery (backups & restores) Performance Tuning (Reorgs, Indexing, runstats, SQL tuning) Database Upgrades (Full version and fixpaks) Problem Identification (Snapshots, db2explain, db2diag.log, db2pd) Performance Tuning of complex SQL statements Good understanding of DB2 configuration parameters
