Description

Testing of hardware, peripherals and associated equipment. Independent and diligent work practices in completing work in a timely manner. Proposing new solutions to problem areas. Monitoring of work tasks, and reporting on statuses of those tasks to management. Planning and implementing redundancy to future or next generation technologies in ways that meet business needs. Perform and configure portbased, protocolbased, and MACbased VLANs. Provide Juniper, Extreme Networks, and Cisco switch architecture, configuration, installation, backup/recovery, and monitoring. Perform diagnostics on the Cisco, Juniper and Extreme switches, Command Line Interface structure In depth knowledge of other switching hardware and software products. Develops configures for the switch for management access, navigate the command interface, and save the switch configuration. Responsible for configuring port parameters, layer2 forwarding, and port load sharing. Should be able to configure static IP forwarding and IP routing functions. Provide and perform basic troubleshooting steps for layer2 and layer3 networks. Updates relevant documentation supporting and briefly describe Cisco, Juniper & Extreme advanced features.
