contractor is for ISS and will replace an existing contractor that departed at the end of July. This contractor will provide support for the ISS established environment and assist ! with supplementing project work for the team. Some of the projects that will benefit are the ISS Oracle project, ISS Disk Upgrades, ISS Operating system upgrades and ISS security initiatives.Benefits Skills/Experience Individual selected will be responsible for providing support as a UNIX System Analyst. The contractor will work with a team of software developers and system administrators supporting the mission critical function of UNIX servers hosting automated sortation. Potential contractor should possess good problem solving skills, excellent communications skills, both oral and written, a desire to learn new technologies, and a proven ability to work in a team oriented environment. Major responsibilities include . Install, configure and support IBM and HP Unix servers hosting mission critical sortation application platforms for sortation Hubs. . Installing and upgrading operating systems, firmware and failed hardware on IBM and HP Servers and Storage systems . Troubleshooting critical hardware and software issues and other daytoday user trouble tickets. Arranging and tracking of vendor deliverables. . Perform monitoring of systems, performance and capacity planning. Report on key metrics governing the operation of all systems. . Create and maintain documentation for servers and storage environments. . Support and configuration of fiber attached storage Other responsibilities include . Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of IBM and HP servers in the US and Canada . Maintain high customer service standards in dealing with and responding to customer issues and questions . Must have good trouble shooting skills and the ability to work with others in a fastpaced environment
