Description
The Department of Technology Services is in need of an experienced VMware/System Administrator that can complete a project in a short time frame. We are looking for two individuals with the following skills. Advanced skills using VMware to convert physical machines to virtual.System OS (Operating System) experience and understanding for installation, support and troubleshooting with skills in the following OS's Windows Server Linux (Redhat, SUSE, etc) NetwareUnderstanding of OS services and determining what services are running on servers and ability to troubleshoot them if they do not startExperience using VMware Capacity PlannerBe able to diagnose port usage and which ports need opened for installed application to function in the networkTime period to be determined once schedule is complete (estimated at 12 16 weeks)Preference given to those with experience with VMware Appspeed and other UNIX OS experience.
