Quality Analyst

Description

The QA Data Analyst is responsible for performing quality assurance duties throughout the data warehouse and reporting project lifecycle. This position requires a selfmotivated individual with 3 plus years of Quality Assurance and/or Development experience and at least one year experience with testing in a data warehouse and enterprise reporting environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working closely with Business Analysts and Developers to create test plans and test cases for all necessary projects and application releases. The scope of the testing will be from the source systems, thru the ETL process to the enduser application(s). The execution of test cases, the creation of department documentation, defect tracking and analysis, and assisting in the development of longterm data audit processes are key responsibilities. Excellent communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work as a member of a project team in a fastpaced environment. Responsibilities (including but not limited to) Review project documentation for all assigned projects to ensure that the project requirements are clearly definedDevelop and execute test cases based on business requirements (manual and automated)Report defects and escalate issues as neededContribute to the project success in a team environment while simultaneously completing individual tasks and goalsShare knowledge by effectively documenting workDevelop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the assigned application(s), functional area(s) or project(s)Communicate effectively to the team throughout the development processTroubleshoot new builds and post production issuesPerform early morning or late night validation when new releases are being deployed into productionMentor less experienced Analysts
