Description
This position will require the project manager to be responsible for leading and facilitating the development and deployment of a medical information Website that is aligned with the overall business strategy to create a physician portal. To accomplish this goal, the project manager will develop a sound understanding of business areas including organizational objectives, organizational processes, and the plans to accomplish these objectives. He / she will be responsible for leading crossfunctional teams, coordinating multiple project tasks, managing external vendors and facilitating regularly scheduled working meetings to discuss issues, schedule, resource and budget requirements, communication plans, risk analyses and development of project deliverables. He / she will meet monthly with senior leadership to communicate the overall status of the project and address project status issues, risks and contingencies. The project manager should manage conflicts, coordinate all communications going out to the various teams any communicate risks to the overall project schedule. Create a risk assessment plan to mitigate challenges to the scope and budget. Establish productive and positive relationships with key stakeholders. Develop and track success measures for the project. The ideal candidate should take ownership of project quality, is detail oriented, and works well in a matrix team environment from support level to executive level. Job Requirements / Education BA or BS degree, with a minimum 3 years of demonstrated project management experience within the pharmaceutical industry, required. Leadership in Website development preferred. Formal project management training, PMP certification from an accredited course, a plus. Familiarity with defining project scope, deliverables, multidisciplinary team development, communication plans, scheduling, resource requirements, risk analyses and contingency plans and proven abilities with change management and strategic planning are highly desirable. Strong working knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel and Project. Good written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical skills.
