Network Engineer

Description

One highly skilled and very experienced fulltime equivalent (FTE) senior network engineer capable of doing 2nd to 3rd Level 247365 operations within a complex, secure and high available bordergateway (Internet Web Hosting, VPN) environment. The resource is required to be onsite during office hours and on standby during off hours. Candidates must be able to understand, analyze and solve network, network security and application related incidents and problems in a complex, business critical, multiplatform network environment containing load balancing, content switching and high sophisticated security concepts under high time pressure as well as consult application developers in order to migrate new or existing applications into the bordergateway. Candidates will be required to work closely together in a team with 1st, 2nd and 3rd Level operations staff. Candidates will be the main interface to external 3rd Level and Vendor support teams. Candidates should be familiar with ITIL and must be proficient in the English language, spoken and written.They will be expected to participate in Daimler processes, trouble ticket system, review/writing of documentations and reports. Candidates will also be required to work with other IT support areas to provide maximum performance and conform to corporate and industry standards. Unit / System / Performance / Integration Testing and possible test case generation may also be required.
