Description Project Architect will work closely with the project team during initiation of a project to help with highlevel estimates, during analysis, design and development to define technical solutions for the project, as well as during the implementation to help with problems. The solutions defined must be within the strategic technical vision for the department. The architect will consult with teammates on short and long term alternatives and standards for the project. They work with the team and create strategies, including options, benefits and risks for each. They work with the team to model technical designs that can be turned into useable products. The architect is responsible for defining technical requirements for specific deliverables. Responsible for helping with technical problems with application. The architect will consult with teammates on short and long term alternatives and standards for the project. They work with the team and create strategies, including options, benefits and risks for each. They work with the team to model technical designs that can be turned into useable products. The architect is responsible for defining technical requirements for specific deliverables. They will also be responsible for setting the technical direction and standards for projects, typically within the bounds of Enterprise Wide Technical Architecture (EWTA), as well as doing some R&D, work with System Architect to develop templates and patterns, design infrastructure components, determine best practices, etc for technical direction for projects. They also help to solve technical problems with a project.Communicate All Standards (EWTA, Security, Division, etc). Document and Communicate Power Delivery and Gas Operations IT Division Standards. Ensure any deviation from current EWTA standard has an approved Exception. Ensure any solutions using new software products not on EWTA approved product list be submitted for EWTA review through System Architect Board. Ensure any Enterprise XML Schema changes are communicated. Ensure DR/Failover plan for application or solution is addressed. Ensure designs follow standards through design reviews. Ensure designs are scalable and do not create unnecessary application dependencies. Ensure functional components are not being duplicated. Communicate clear feedback on design and code deficiencies. Provide design and coding guidance, as needed. Ensure development follows standards. Ensure coding follows standards through code reviews. Ensure testing follows standards.
