Business Analysts have primary accountability for providing client support and consultation on the development of business requirements in the design and delivery of IT solutionsElicit needs for basic to complex buisness and technical issues, translae and document needs into understandable requiremetns, and manage scope and solution design to those requirementsWork collaboratively with Enterprise Archtecture to deliver best possible requirements solutions by demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of business strategies, products, functions and processes, along with current and emerging IT products, services and methodogiesUnderstand the goals and risks associated with the business and technical requirements and offer counsel on risk mitigation and the alignment of requirements with objectivesDemonstrate a team orientation by working closely and effectively with customers, development teams and outside servicesDemonstrate solid skills in the use of business analysis tools and methodologies. Required Skills This individuals primary role is as a member of the IDSCommercial Lines group on the Product team.On this team, the individual will be involved in maintenance and invest projects involving our various legacy and relational databases, as well as participating in some ad hoc projects as they come up.While the focus is on business analysis, the position may involve other aspects of a development lifecycle including enduser requirements, testing, and validation of results and assumptions.The candidate will work with EB&TIM staff and other areas of IDS in addition to the IDSCL team. This position requires that the candidate communicate effectively with both business and technical communities.Because this is a handson position, the individual must have strong analytical, business analytical, and technical skills.The ideal candidate applicant would have expertise or some knowledge of Commercial LinesPolicy Writing or Stat Coding and experience with project life cycle methodology.The candidate should be versed in relational technologies, be proficient in MSOffice, and have at least a basic knowledge of SQL.
