Delivery of Windows infrastructure including hardware, software, storage, domain and security managementCreate and maintain overall strategy for physical or virtual distributed hardwareCreate and maintain policies and proceduresCreate and maintain all system, architecture and support documentationCreate and maintain Technical Recovery PlanCapacity planning and resource allocationProvide day to day support of hardware and software including ticket resolutionTake ownership of client issues and escalate issues to third parties or vendors as appropriate.Support of budget and planning processMaintain secure environment in compliance with policies and best practicesAct as primary point of contact for internal and external service providersConfirm compliance with hardware and software asset management policiesParticipate in business unit and enterprise projects Create and maintain appropriate change management and testing disciplinesCollect data to support effective decision making and performance monitoring Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe Windows Engineer is responsible for design and implementation of distributed server hardware and software solutions to deliver infrastructure and application development project initiatives. The Windows Engineer will be the primary party responsible for clarifying requirements, designing solutions, providing trade off analysis and budget estimates for project work. The Windows Engineer will provide input to development of project plans to coordinate technical work efforts of assigned resources and be accountable for implementation of sustainable distributed infrastructure solutions. This individual will be responsible for configuration of infrastructure components supporting project delivery and working within the technology environment to understand and implement solutions according to best practice standards and corporate policies.Daily activities will include troubleshooting problems, communicating risks, articulating the business value and impact of advanced technical and nontechnical solutions. The Distributed Integration Engineer will be required to administer data within corporate change, problem management and request systems, monitor assignment and completion of efforts documented in these systems and properly escalating issues to management. Responsibilities include research and development of new technology and engineering best practices, as well as the implementation of complex and comprehensive solutions for enterprise and Line of Business applications
