Desktop Support Lead / Architect

Description

This position is responsible for monitoring, supporting, and participating in the development/enhancements of distributive system management platforms Resolve issues through level 3 in server, operating systems or other software under the control of the Distributed Systems management teamProvide guidance to junior infrastructure analysts and follows guidance and direction from Lead and seniorPerform day to day operations to maintain SLAs and business functionsAcquire knowledge of new technologies and may implement to benefit Horizon and disseminate this information to IT staff membersManage vendor relationships including hardware, software, and maintenance contractsEscalate issues when necessary to senior members of the team for resolutionTake ownership of all assigned level II and III issues and be responsible for follow up from end to endInstallation and configuration of applications, clusters, and databasesDocumenting processes and procedures for infrastructure support Horizon Casualty Services, IncAdministers and maintains telecommunication system including PBX, ACD and Voice Mail systems including programming digital, analog, IP and soft phones, ACD call trees, dialout codes and hunt groups and troubleshoots carrier telephone service, voice network issues and system failures. Administers and maintains Rightfax fax server and client applications.Supports implementation of Horizon security policies on desktops and servers; including disaster recovery plans, system backup, risk assessment, secure file transfer, supports data integrity and coordinates firewall policy with Horizon security group.Develops and maintains Lotus Notes databases, provides second level problem analysis and resolution to support Lotus Notes users, and assists in the management and installation of Lotus Notes.Provides technical direction and guidance, planning and monitoring for deployment of new applications.
