Description

Need to be able to explain relationships, objects and enmities when working with diagrams and data modeling. Need experience with DBA ORACLE SYBASE. ( he wants there to be a variety of technical background but needs these people to have concentrated on data modeling for the most part. Working with POWERDESIGNER IS ALSO HUGE. NMDP will be working with Ver. 15 of powerdesigner. Will be a huge plus. if they do not have the ver. 15 that is ok thought. Needs to have past experience working on large and strategic based projects and also be able to make own decisions on these projectsPOSITION SUMMARY A Data Architect works with the Data Analysts, Business/Systems Analysts, and Technical Leads to incrementally develop database models based on business and integration requirements. Serves as the lead technical resource in the planning, design, construction, and oversight of data models and database structural design and development.1. Data Modeling and Design Creates and maintains conceptual, logical, and physical data models that meet business and integration requirements for both OLTP and OLAP environments.Collaborates with Business/Systems Analysts and Data Analysts during the analysis and design phases of the project.Assists project teams in defining scope and boundaries for local transactional data stores relative to their shared use of enterprise data.Develops integration process flows and data mapping analysis.Instructs, directs, and reviews the work of App DBAs, ETL and Database Developers.Analyzes and mines business data to identify patterns and correlations among the various data points.Maps and traces data from system to system in order to solve a given business or system problem Complies with the established companywide database standards, best practices, and SOPs and the governing directives of the Enterprise Data Architect.JOB SPECIFICATIONS Minimum Education Requires bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or a related field. Related work experience may be considered in lue of degree.Minimum Experience Minimum of 5 years development experience
