Software Stability Test Engineer

We have a position within Global Test Center Americas for a Product Response Engineer to workon phone projects. This Engineer will be primarily assigned to plan, execute, and debugautomated software stability tests throughout the software development cycle.DaytoDay Experience The selected candidate will work independently to analyze requirements and specifications tocreate software stability test cases necessary for customer acceptance and product launchactivities. The test engineer is expected to contribute significantly to the stability test strategy andlab preparations across multiple global locations. This includes mastering the required tools,requesting new internal tools, preparing lab equipment, and establishing communications acrosssites. For this competency one would have MSFT Hopper testing experience and KITL debuggingas well as experience with a test suite called LTK (Logo Test Kit) which is a Microsoft specificrequirement to certify with NSTL. In addition, a truly versatile Stability Test specialist would haveAndroid Monkey (or Super Monkey) testing experienceThe successful candidate will use commerical and internal test tools to verify the functionalcorrectness and longrun software stability of Sony Ericsson mobile phones. This involves daytoday scheduling with team leaders and managing 1050 concurrent automated test runs.Reporting results and trend information clearly, concisely, and quickly is critical to meeting projectobjectives. This role requires working closely with software developers to isolate difficult defectsand retest corrections. This collaboration will often require adjusting the test tools, creating newtest scripts, and altering the test parameters.Finally, this engineer shall recognize inefficiencies and propose solutions to improve work flow
