Description

Project Management Develops project schedules, tasks, milestones, and manages deliverables for design, development, testing, training and implementation based on the overall project plan. Prepares project budget, work breakdown structure, and staff role and responsibilities. Monitors the project schedule, project tasks and coordinates the efforts of agency staff, vendor staff, and State Information Systems personnel to ensure that the project is completed on time, is within budget and meets the agency requirements. Follows up on outstanding issues and ensures that they are resolved in a timely manner consistent with the scope and concept of the project plan. Planning and Implementing Project Objectives Creates project plans, estimates and allocates resources, obtains tools needed to complete project, manages project budget, determines project time lines including milestones and critical path items, identifies project risks and mitigation, documents all projectrelated work. Issue Resolution and ManagementFollows up on outstanding issues and ensures that they are resolved in a timely manner consistent with the scope and concept of the project plan. Develops contingency plans when appropriate. Background Check The contractor filling this position must undergo a background check similar to that of other Treasury Information Systems Employees. Required Skills 12 yrs IT experience with 10 yrs Project Management experience.3 yrs an extensive background in managing large, complex projects. 3 yrs reporting in writing and orally to management as necessary.3 yrs competent leadership and responsible direction through successful performance of a variety of detailed, diverse elements of project management. 5 yrs experience must include Directing completion of tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints. 3 yrs experience must include scheduling and assigning duties to project team, comprising technical and program staff as well as contractors from one or more firms. 3 yrs experience enforcing work standards and reviews/resolves work discrepancies to ensure compliance with project requirements. 1 yrs experience with Financial Applications and/or banking operations. One of the projects that will be managed is called Vendor Bank Conversion, which involves the selection of a new financial institution to provide banking services for the State, migration of services to the selected bank, and removal of services from the current bank. 1 yrs experience with projects that require significant Infrastructure (Hardware, Software, Network) enhancements. One of the projects that will be managed is called Server Consolidation, which involves the consolidation of Treasury servers, software, network into a secured environment. This project includes implementation of Citrix for remote connectivity, SAN (Storage Area Network) equipment for data storage and archive, and Active Directory for network management and domain services. 5 yrs experience using Microsoft Project or other project management software.
