SQL Server DBA

Description

This dynamic and selfstarting individual will be responsible to our Data Management team for providing technical and architectural leadership in the design and development of our database systems. Key responsibilities include analyzing the data infrastructure; performing database design; logical and physical database modeling; database development; testing database objects and scripts; ETL processes, SSIS package design and development; DTS migrations to SSIS; reporting services design and development; developer code reviews, database tuning, troubleshooting, security and code migrations to the development and test environments. Additional responsibilities include helping support the development and test environments, database configurations, troubleshooting, refreshing, trimming and scrubbing of data and data encryption. This individual will work closely with the operational DBA team to ensure a smooth transition is made to the staging and production environments and will be involved in establishing and implementing database design standards and procedures.Required ExperienceA minimum of 5 years as a Database Administrator with experience in design and development Indepth knowledge and experience of Microsoft SQL Sever 2000 and SQL Server 2005 Data modeling experience is required Experience solving complex SQL problems, developing solutions and SQL analysis Knowledge and experience with ETL (SSIS, DTS, and stored procs) Experience migrating from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005 Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services Excellent communication and interpersonal skills SQL Server 2018 knowledge and experience is preferred Experience migrating from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2018 is preferred Experience with Data Warehousing and Microsoft Analysis Services is preferred Experience with Oracle 10g or Oracle 11g is preferred Completion of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or MIS with a broad business educational background, or an Associates Degree from a college or technical school with equivalent years of work experience.
