Description
Act in a Senior Oracle Database Administrator capacity Responsible for both ASTS production databases at customer locations and internally Work with database team members and software engineers concerning database administration issues, SQL tuning, PL/SQL development and database architecture Oncall rotation for 24x7 support Requirements Bachelors Degree in EE, CS or IS. seven + years experience as an Oracle DBA in a 24x7x365 production environment Must have working knowledge of the following Oracle Real Application Clusters (Oracle 9i and 10g) Oracle Data Guard (Oracle 10g) atabase backup and recovery using RMAN (Oracle 9i and 10g) RHEL Linux SQL performance tuning using TKPROF and 10046 trace mechanisms CSH/KSH scripting skills Architect high volume OLTP databases in a 24x7x365 environment Oracle 9i/10g Certification preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills
