Description
'Embedded Software Test Engineers verify the design and validate the implementation of embedded software supplied by JCI Electronics meets and/or exceeds the customers expectations. They develop comprehensive functional test plans to confirm that the product behaves as expected with reference to specific documented software requirements. Ability to read and interpret product specifications and software requirement specifications. Knowledge of fundamental programming concepts to aid understanding of product specification and to drive initiatives to automate tests when time and budget constraints permit. Basic computer competency (MSWord, MSExcel, and MSProject). Ability to complete documentation fully and consistently. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Responsible for PLUS and Embedded Software Test Engineering project deliverables. Author documents/provide feedback to continuously improve the Embedded Software Test Engineering process. Create comprehensive functional test plans to verify that the product behaves as specified and will perform reliably in the field. Develop, document, and execute software test plans prior to releasing any software. Develop comprehensive functional test plans to confirm that the product behaves as expected with reference to specific documented software requirements. Serve as a key interface to the development team, providing valuable input ranging from design to product performance. BSEE and BSCE desired. 1 5 years of experience.
