Description
Motorola is looking for competent, motivated C programmers for a 6 month contract. The programmer will be responsible for writing kernel modules and device drivers for Linux that use shared memory tcommunicate with user space. The programmer will be responsible for writing shell commands taccess the drivers and modules. We use ClearCase as our source repository and ClearQuest as our defect tracking, and experience with these tools is a plus. Responsibilities Include Participate in all phases of the firmware development process which includes Creating functional and design specifications from highlevel requirements. Implementing design specifications and unit testing. Ensuring successful system integration testing. Enhance and maintain existing product firmware. Requirements BS or MS degree of CE, CS, EE, or equivalent background. Demonstrated experience with software/firmware tools, development methodologies and development environments. Strong knowledge of OS fundamentals and experience with RealTime/Multitasking operating systems. Experience with Linux, Linux device drivers, and Linux shared memory. Experience with source control and bug tracking software. Experience with network programming and protocols. IEEE 802.11 knowledge is a plus. Experience with SNMP is a plus. Indepth knowledge of C programming language. Strong problem solving skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability twork in a fastpaced, timecritical software environment. Ability twork both independently and as a member of a team. Must be selfmotivated.
