SAP Plant Maintenance Implementation Consultant

Client needs an experienced SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant for a 10 month implementation project that is converting a division from JD Edwards to SAP ECC 6.0. This position starts in early February 2010, but client wants to select a consultant for this position by the middle of November. Consultant must be an expert in their functional areas, highly skilled in their performance and business savvy. Consultant will work with the project teams to specify the client's business process requirements, configuring and test the SAP modules to the required specifications. Consultant will consult with and provide advice to the team members on module functionality and configuration, best practices, structured/repeatable test procedures as well as all aspects of the SAP system implementation and production support when needed. Functional consultant must demonstrate leadership in their respective areas, the ability to understand and translate the needs of the client's business to SAP process design, and effectively communicate SAP concepts, process and transactions to business users to help them understand how they will use the SAP system to support the business. Consultant must demonstrate initiative to resolve issues, answer questions, and provide advice to the project team as needed. Functional Consultant Responsibilities Functional consultants will work under the direction of the client's project manager and collaboratively with the project team to 1.) Blueprinting design and specify all system functionality, business processes, policies, and procedures. 2.) Specifying all system requirements including those for legacy data conversion and required system extensions. 3.) Work with the client's project team in configuring the SAP R/3 system to meet division's needs. 4.) Work with the client's project team in performing unit and integrated testing. 5.) Develop enduser documentation, testing scenario documentation, training materials, and program support. 6.) Work with the client's project team in supporting the SAP R/3 production system. 7.) Ensure knowledge transfer from the consultant to the client's project team.Benefits Skills/Experience Required Skills 1.) 4+ years of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) functional experience with at least one full lifecycle SAP implementation; 2. Experience with ECC 6.0; 3.) Demonstrated ability to specify client's business process requirements and configure and test SAP PM module; 4.) Ability to function as a SME for PM module functionality and configuration, best practices, structured/repeatable test procedures and production support when needed; 5.) Ability to understand and translate the needs of the client's business to SAP process design, and effectively communicate SAP concepts, process and transactions to business users to help them understand how they will use the SAP system to support the business; 6.) Must demonstrate initiative to resolve issues, answer questions, and provide advice to the project team as needed; 7.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills; 8.) Prior experience converting a client from JD Edwards to SAP would be a plus.
