Deployment Engineer

Job Descrption The Deployment Engineer is a contract position at the AP SF office and requires a passion for and extensive expertise in installation, configuration and deployment with ability to closely collaborate with the software development teams and the architects. The deployment engineer will work closely in making daytoday design calls and ensure that deployments for specific projects are occurring across test and production platforms in a timely and flawless manner. Deploying engineer will work with engineers who are working on automation, leveraging the latest tools and techniques for Microsoft based software application development. Experience must include past configuration experience on Microsoft Windows (2018, 2003), .Net, SQL Server and SharePoint Environments. The right candidate will bring a compelling vision to deployments and automation to help the core team build and maintain effective environments while maintaining the highest of application quality. Responsibilities Collaborate with the core development team and ensure environment quality and timely deploymentsWork directly with the core team and lead automation engineer creating, enhancing and maintaining the platform framework using the latest tools and technology such as such as NUnit, MS Test, TFS, Team City, VMware, Subversion, HyperV, etc.Create tools and processes to measure automation progress for the team as a whole, individual teams and individual developers.Work in tandem with the lead automation engineer working with each development team to identify testing goals and help reach those goals through collaborative test creation, documentation and training.Monitor and respond to problems in the test automation system. Work with members of individual teams to diagnose and resolve automation test failures.Clear understanding of the changes with all changes in the stack prior to the production release.Document, train and transition support of deployments to the production support teamsTake full responsibility for all deployments.Reporting to and working closely with the Global Sr Manager for Deployments, the engineer will ensure that the appropriate processes and followed and updatedRequired Skills/Experience 6+ years of experience in install, configure and manage large windows System's and Application Environment Prior experience with automated tests and test frameworks.6+ years of software development and/or QA automation experience. Strong knowledge and experience in object oriented design (especially with .Net), database, and web programming. Ability to establish credibility with development and business groups quickly. Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship skills.Be a natural leader and collaborate well with the rest of the core team. Work independently and in conjunction with a team of senior system and application development engineers.Meet ambitious and aggressive plans with creative and innovative solutions.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
