Required skills Project Management Experience in a Public Health setting Required 5 YearsPMP Certification Highly desired Advanced Microsoft Word; Excel; Access; Outlook; Visio & MS Project skills Required Exp creating deployment and operation plans Required Strong communication skills RequiredRole Description The OPHP contracts with three (3) State Medical Response Teams (SMRTs) that are deployed through the State Emergency Registry of Volunteers in Pennsylvania (SERVPA) process and system. State Medical Response Teams consist of health care providers such as physicians, nurses, pharmacists, medical specialists and support staff capable of providing disaster medical support. Deployed by the PADoH, SMRTs are a part of the state disaster medical response system and provide services during catastrophic disasters where they augment medical care and/or reestablish medical care in areas of the State where hospitals or medical care systems have been damaged or overwhelmed.The OPHP has the responsibility for managing the State Medical Response Teams (SMRTs) Operation and Deployment Plan. The project will focus on documenting the team deployment and operations process; an assessment of the electronic inventory of State Medical Response Team resources; and the integration of the PAMEMS guidance documents into the existing PADoH Medical Surge Plan.This project requires a Candidate to document existing plans, processes, policies and procedures; to assess the current resource inventory documentation and distribution process; and to integrate emergency management guidance documentation into the Medical Surge Plan.Some travel may be required, a small travel budget will be established for expense reimbursements.The Candidate will identify, collect and document processes, procedures and policies to create a formal deployment and operations plan; assess the electronic resources inventory process and provide options for enhancements to the process and/or inventory platform; and, integrate existing emergency management guidance documentation into the existing medical surge plan.
