Description
Description/Required Skills Supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and software problems pertaining to WAN, LAN and connected networks.Recommends and schedules installations, repairs, changes, and additions.Provides network support for problem management (i.e., SWAT call) and coordinated support.May require an associate's degree in a related area, at least 35 years of experience in the field or in a related area and appropriate vendor certifications.Must understand structured wiring standards.Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others.Typically reports to a project leader or manager.A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Position provides oncall support, including nights/weekend/holiday work and occasional business travel.Will be involved in major hardware replenishments and will occasionally be required to properly lift heavy equipment.CiscoCCNA Certified Network AssociateCiscoCCNP Certified Network Professional (it is a plus)
