Data Warehouse/ETL Developer

Description

The Data Warehouse Developer role will help with developing enhancements to the Data warehouse. This person will also play a key role in developing the data integration solutions for the preclearing trade data integration. Individual will be responsible for designing the solution and ETL mappings for data integration using Informatica or PL/SQL. Person should have strong background in Data Warehousing, dimensional modeling and Oracle (PL/SQL) development to integrate Informatica processes to work in conjunction with existing PL/SQL ETL processes.Responsibilities Integration TasksDesign strategy to Globex Trade Data with Quotes, Orders and Market Data to provide new analytical capabilitiesDevelop ETL maps using Informatica or PL/SQLFollow best practices in data warehouse design/development/testingPerform all unit testing and some level of QA testing to ensure results are as the business expects.Design documentationDocument design decisions following BI methodologyDocument best practices for tool usage strategy comparing Java, PL/SQL vs. InformaticaProvide solution options and recommendations on how to integrate the trade and order data.Provide documentation on the new analytical capabilities that will be reached through the Development and manage cross team scheduling standards and thread management (Manage Cross Team Runbook) Design/Develop Shared Error/exception/reject management handlingSkill sets required 5+ Years developing Informatica or PL/SQL solutions in a Unix/Linux environment2+ Years developing using informatica2+ Years developing reporting solutions using Business Objects or Crystal ReportsExperience in ETL, data modeling data warehouse designExperience with high volume datasets from various sources (Cobol, Text Files, XML, Relational)Experience with multithreading and parallel processing using or PL/SQLExperience using Informatica integrated with web servicesExperience in developing and documenting environment setup processes, procedures and shared componentsExperience supporting multiteam environmentsExperience with general scheduling tools such as UC4
