Responsibilities Develop interface and data conversion programs for J.D. Edwards 9.0 implementationCreate reports with JD Edwards Report Writer and BI PublisherProduction support of the JD Edwards Enterprise One applications running on a Intel/SQL platform Provide first level support for users of the Enterprise One application by providing specific system and business expertise when necessary to solve production and maintenance problemsFunction as lead technical analyst in evaluating JD Edwards releases and developing implementation plansDuties Design, develop, code, test, maintain, support and document applications, data architectures, and data structures for business applications, specifically JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0Utilize JD Edwards development tools, C, C++, and Java technologies to perform programming and support tasks, including the debugging and coding of JD Edwards Business functions Create custom reports and forms with JD Edwards Report Writer and BI PublisherPerform unit testing of applications to ensure efficient execution and compliance with business and technical requirements Perform system tuning using debugging tools and system traces Assist in the development, monitoring and testing of interfaces to and from JD Edwards Review, release, and service pack notes issued by Oracle for JD Edwards to identify changes to be applied Develop appropriate testing and implementation plans Work with specific departments to provide support for standard and custom JD Edwards applications Participate in acceptance testing to ensure client/user needs are met Analyze software requirements to develop technical design specifications Analyze new releases of JD Edwards and act as project manager to implement into production Participate in structured, technical, and functional walkthroughs of specifications and programming logic with project team members Work with programming staff to resolve problems that arise with existing production applications in a timely manner Perform application testing in support of all upgrades, patches, and customizations Participation in training sessions, presentations, and meetings as neededPrimary Requirements Minimum of 35 years of technical experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One 8.0 (or later) development tools and Report Writer. Experience working with Financials, Purchasing, Sales Order, and Inventory applications.Bachelors degree in the field of computer science Demonstrated knowledge of the JD Edwards data structures Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and userfriendly language Excellent technical problem solving skills combined with strong customer service attitude to assist in operational and system issues Demonstrated history of meeting project deadlines Ability to define issues and assist with preparation and recommendation of solution alternatives Relevant experience or classes in the design and development of application solutions or webbased applications Willingness to work oncall as needed (evening and weekends)
