Java Architect

Description

The Tennessee Department of Revenue needs a Solutions Architect for Java development. This ITPro contractor will be working on the Title and Registration Users System for Tennessee (TRUST). TRUST is a reengineering project initiated to eliminate problems associated with the State's legacy Title and Registration system, in response to concerns from the public, county clerks, vehicle dealers, lending institutions and insurance companies. It has been in development for several years and is in phase five of six total phases. TRUST is scheduled to go live in 2010. The person in this position will work in Java development for batch processing of the Title and Registration Users System for Tennessee (TRUST) as solutions architect. This solutions architect will be responsible for ensuring that all scheduled jobs are run at the proper times, ensuring that performance tuning of batch jobs is completed, overseeing development of the Inventory User Interface and balancing inventory dependencies between code development for batch processing and User Interfaces. Required Skills/Experience Experience in the following is required Spring Batch 2.0, as well as batch integration and FTP using Apache Commons. Also required is experience in Quartz and in Spring Quartz integration. Requires a minimum of 5 years of current experience in this job class with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must hold a BA/BS degree (advanced degree a plus) Experience in Spring Batch 2.0 (Minimum of 2 years of experience within the last 5 years) Experience in Batch Integration and FTP using Apache Commons (Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 5 years) Experience in Quartz (Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 5 years) Experience in Spring Quartz Integration (Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 5 years) Experience with Java 1.6 (Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 2 years) Desired Skills/Experience Experience working on implementation of a distributed system interfacing with DB2 is preferable. An ability to integrate solutions across multiple functional and technical environments is desired.
