ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership for a team of software engineersServe as an expert in software development processes, applications, and tools to provide immediate value and contribution to projects and problem solvingConceptualize and initiate solutions to complex problems and identify business impact of these solutionsApply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concept Share a well developed understanding of the business and competitive environment with colleagues Possess a proven track record to meet timelines and manage project expectationsSkills and ExperienceTechnical leadership ability and experienceAbility to effectively work with and lead a team and to influence others Comfortable working in a highly distributed international environmentExperience developing one or more of the following webbased userinterfaces for system management, command line interfaces for system management, or management software for virtualized environmentsExperience working with one or more of the following distributed systems, clustering, policybased software, storage provisioning, or virtualizationExpert knowledge of network file systems, diskbased file systems and/or file virtualization technologyA broad knowledge of Linux, Windows, and/or UNIX application programming technology Knowledge of UML, modelbased software development, CIM/WBEM, SNMP, and/or storage protocols a plusKnowledge of distributed and/or clustered systems a plusStrong problem solving skillsExcellent C/C++ and Java programming skillsStrong scripting language skillsMultithreaded programming experience Experience utilizing contemporary software engineering principlesStrong communication skills, both spoken and written, are required for interaction with team members, senior members of the staff and other organizationsEducation/ExperienceBS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or closely related field10, 8, or 6 years relevant experience, depending on degree
