REQUIRED SKILLS Significant experience in handson Oracle DB administration and data architecture working with B7, 10G, and 11G Experience in upgrading database from 9i to 11g. Proficient in building and maintaining Oracle Data Guard. Experience in Erwin Data modeling tool Experience in DB capacity planning Experience in recovering database. Solid knowledge in DB performance tuning Experience managing and using OEM Grid Control. Experience in DB backup for mission critical database. Experience in supporting 24X7 operations Experience in SDLC environment management. Experience in collaborating with developers to design DB tables and structures to support applications Solid experience tuning systems and database parameters for performance Experience performing data extraction for development and test environments PREFFERED SKILLS Prior HHS experience Excellent troubleshooting abilities Good communication and documentation skills Works well under own initiative. Ability to recommend solutions / designs RESPONSIBILITIES This position administers, secures, tunes, and monitors enterprise Oracle databases to ensure the continuity of Enterprise database applications and the protection of critical dataResponsible for the creation and management of appropriate development, testing, and production Oracle database environments.
