Oracle Applications (E-Business Suite) 11i DBA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Troubleshoot ebusiness suite, Database and Oracle SOA issues. Provide long term improvement suggestions for stability of these environments. Work with development team to implement change management for custom code migrated into environments. Apply patches to ebusiness suite and Oracle databases. Coordinates the activities related to running production/ development/ test/ QA Applications environments. Develops and implements solutions for database sizing/capacity, server requirements and space requirements. Resolves help desk tickets as assigned and provides 24hour oncall support for problem analysis and resolution to system problems on a rotational basis. Designs, develops, implement, and test enterprise backup and recovery solution, including Disaster Recovery initiatives. Applies significant experience with Performance Monitoring, database tuning, identification and correction of performance bottlenecks to ensure peak performance. Creates and maintains knowledge base to improve maintenance and reliability. Provides input to forecasts future of application/database administration, monitoring, and testing tools. Provides training to enhance the use and value of these tools. As assigned researches, plans, and performs application of bug fixes, application upgrades, database upgrades, and the implementation of security policies. Works with the Networks and Systems groups to design platforms that are robust enough to support the needs of the business. In accordance with established guidelines designs/ develops processes/ procedures for loading data, conversions, batch job operation, and does high level troubleshooting of development/production system independently. Technical Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent. Masters preferred. Additional Certification a plus. Thorough knowledge of the Oracle Applications Framework, architecture, and technology stack. 23 years experience in Oracle EBusiness 11i, with 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience. Experience in Oracle 11i Applications 11.5.9 10.2 with knowledge of CRM, ONT, OTC, HR, Workflow, EBS, Finance (AP/AR) or Student Systems. Experience in Oracle Portal environment, RMAN, and Oracle Reports and Forms a plus. Experience with Oracle Discoverer, OID and LDAP. Active Directory integration experience a plus. Proven track record in managing and tuning large volume Oracle databases. Experience in UNIX environment required. SUN SOLARIS preferred. Excellent communication skills. Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery process/scenarios. Knowledge of SQL Server (a definite plus).
