Description
Provide leadership, direction and vision regarding technology improvements and enhancements in support of the HR Strategy and HR Portfolio. Act as a business consultant with HR leadership and interact with all levels of the function in identifying information technology solutions that support key HR processes and strategies. Serve as project manager on key HRIS initiatives. Significantly contribute to visioning of future HRIS needs, based on sound process improvements, specifically in the area of self service and webbased technology. Lead the RTS prioritization and manage enhancements, maintenance, and support request to best utilize budget allocation. Provide leadership and guidance to the HRIS department in support of day to day operations. PART II Job Summary Work with HR Leadership in planning and directing the ongoing development and maintenance of Human Resource Information Systems to support short and long range HR goals. Coordinate HRIS initiatives in conjunction with the HR Master Plan to ensure a robust infrastructure in support of HR initiatives. Consult and provide guidance to HR functional areas on how to leverage existing software platforms in support of process improvements. Act as liaison and a technical/process consultant to the HR community (including subsidiaries when appropriate), system users, IS department, employees, and managers on technology related concerns and requests. Update and maintain an accurate systems map for all HRIS components within the portfolio. Act as a liaison with the HR BISC representative and IS resources that support the HR Portfolio PART III Key Results AreasProject Management Assist HR Project Managers leading HR technology initiatives in developing plans and approaches for specific deliverables to meet desired results. Work as project participant during specific project execution, as required. Work with individual Project Managers and Capability Champions on specific HR initiatives, as required, to address crosscapability and crossbusiness issues. Ensure balanced perspectives of customers, stakeholders HDMC, suppliers, and external benchmarks are properly considered on specific projects. System Management Oversee and recommend strategies for HRIS applications, security, data integrity, training and report writing. Motivate, guide and develop the staff to take ownership and become HRIS functional experts. Develop and coordinate programs to educate users regarding effective utilization of HR Systems. Maintain and accurate systems map of the HR Portfolio. Be able to troubleshoot and assist with daily HRIS operational issues. Process and System Improvement Continually analyzes business needs and processes and recommend changes to utilize new functionality and/or technologies in support of good process. Work as a liaison with IS staff to jointly lead and facilitate process redesigns, technology development and change. Serve as project manager on all HRIS (PeopleSoft) upgrade efforts. Collaborate with IS on RTS related requests and manage the process for HR. Business/Technology Trends Maintain business literacy on industry trends and best practices in regards to technology. Conduct research and consult with market leaders, through conferences, seminars, trade magazines and networking inside and outside the organization. Workforce Analytics Work with HR Leadership and staff to ensure accurate data is captured in systems to track and report data. Provide insight and leadership into tools and technology to support robust data analysis for better information gathering and decision making. Engage the Workforce Works with HR Leadership to determine training and development needs for the HRIS staff. Provide professional development support and ensure quality training for HRIS staff relative to HR process and technology related competencies and HRIS standard methodologies. Professional/Self Development Prepare and follow a career development plan that includes stakeholder feedback. Maintain and enhance skill base by continuously gaining knowledge through handson experience; formal and informal education, training and seminars.
