OpportunityWe are looking for midlevel Ruby on Rails developer to help deliver solutions to support the Second Rotation vision. As a member of the Second Rotation engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing gazelle.com and our supporting systems. You will be expected to learn the system from end to end and be willing and eager to learn new technology to support the business. You will be working in short iterations with frequent releases, so responsibilities can and will change frequently. You will work closely with the rest of the engineering team, as well as with business stakeholders to refine requirements.An ideal candidate will have 23 years web development experienceExperience working with Ruby on RailsAgile development experience, including iterative development, (T/B)DD, and automated testingStrong web skills (construction, not design) HTML/CSS/JavaScriptRelational database skills MySQL, Railsstyle structure, performance issuesKnowledge of Apache/Passenger server configurationExperience with Git or another DVCSLoadbalanced, multimachine, multienvironment deployment experienceUnderstanding of, and experience with, Amazon Web Services, including EC2 and S3Strong written and oral communication skillsWillingness to research and learn to find the best solution to a problemExperience with Mac OS X (for development) and Linux (for deployment)
