Project Description The Business Systems Analyst II (BSA II) is responsible for participating in the creation of business requirements and systems design documentation for small to midscale system enhancement projects. The BSA II also has responsibility for participating in user acceptance testing and providing secondtier or thirdtier production support of systems. The BSA II typically works in a highly collaborative project team environment that includes project and/or release managers, customer business analysts and end users, developers, quality assurance testers and trainers. A successful BSA II will typically have direct experience as an application developer or database analyst with a strong grounding in technical design and development processes, plus knowledge of system modeling tools and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Systems including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Java related technologies. For example Java, J2EE (EJB/DAO/JDBC/JMS/JSP/Servlets), Struts, Tiles, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, UDDI), JavaScript, HTML, XML, and SQL Server. Knowledge of UML and XML (XML Schema/DTD). Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Advanced interpersonal skills, including oral, written, facilitation, mediation, collaboration and presentation, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Ability to work and produce results in a teambased environment, as well as independently and with little or no supervision. Experience in performing and/or coordinating quality assurance testing, such as user acceptance testing. Required Education and Experience Bachelors Degree in Computer Science OR equivalent of four years in college education and work experience relevant to position. Two years of documented and verifiable experience as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent role inclusive of writing system requirements for specified Business Unit. Experience with SQL.
